Taking a trip down memory lane 💜 An oldie but a goodie! Based on the beautiful view of the Carlingford Peninsula and the Mournes from Warrenpoint, Co. Down. Have you ever been to County Clare on the west coast of Ireland? If not, what are you waiting for? 🤗 April was for exploration. Exploring the beautiful landscapes, capturing the moments. Exploring new ways to tell my story on canvas. Listening to the waves, feeling the mountain air. Counting the blessings and enjoying every moment ❤️ So you know how they say that Ireland is the Emerald Isle? Well April begs to disagree! The yellow daffodils are past their best, but the sweet coconut scented gorse is dominating the landscape, the primroses are looking so pretty, the canola fields are starting to look spectacular and the dandelions are in full bloom 🌞🌼 if April was a colour, for me it would be yellow. So get ready for some paintings that will be, you guessed it… yellow! Definitely because of the colour of the landscape at the moment and definitely not because I bought some well expensive yellow paint and can’t justify buying anymore paint until I’ve used it… 🤪 “I have seen landscapes, notably in the Mourne Mountains and southwards which under a particular light made me feel that at any moment a giant might raise his head over the next ridge…. I yearn to see County Down in the snow, one almost expects to see a march of dwarfs dashing past. How I long to break into a world where such things were true.” ~ CS Lewis ‘Though she be but little she is fierce’ So this one is currently hanging on my living room wall 🖤 This one’s for you if you like neutrals but don’t want bland decor.
